At Royal Dream we always aim to provide accurate information for our travelers. Unfortunately information such as the price of optional activities is occasionally subject to change, and this means that we are constantly revising our trip notes. In order to ensure that you have the most up to date information for your trip we suggest that you check the trip notes for your tour around one month before departure.
Staffing: Services of representatives and local guides.
Transport: 1st class sleeper train, 5 star Nile cruise, private air conditioned minibus, horse-drawn carriage, and donkeys.
Accommodation: 4 nights 5 star Nile cruise, 4 nights tourist class Hotel, 2 nights 1st class sleeper train.
Activities: Horse carriage to Karnak temple, Donkey ride to the Valley of the Kings
Meals: As per itinerary (B- Breakfast, L-Lunch, D-Dinner). Breakfast is provided on every day of the tour, Please allow US$10-15 per day for additional meals.
Entrance fees: Included for all sites listed as part of the itinerary. Egypt also has a wealth of other historical sites and museums which you may wish to visit. If you intend visiting a wide range of different sites you should allow up to approx. US$275 for this.
Tipping: To avoid embarrassment and save your money all tours operate a tipping kitty. Please allow US$18 - 27 per week of the tour for this.  
Itinerary (10 nights / 11 days)
Day 1: Cairo
Meet & assist at the airport, and check into your hotel. Later we enjoy Sound & Light Show at Pyramids plateau (optional). Overnight hotel. (No meals)
Day 2: Cairo - Overnight Train
See the treasures of the famous Egyptian Museum antiques which exhibits a collection now over 120.000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-roman period in Egypt and visit the great Pyramids at Giza plateau which is One of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, middle pyramids of Chephren and the little one of Mykerinos and mysterious Sphinx, the Father of Terror for the ancient pharaohs. Overnight sleeper train to Luxor. (BD) Approx 13 hrs train journey.
Day 3: Luxor
Arrive in Luxor and transfer to our Nile Cruise boat. A few hours free to explore the town before an afternoon ride to Karnak temple by horse drawn carriage for a guided tour. Overnight Luxor. (BLD)
Day 4: Luxor
We rise early this morning to head into the Valley of the Kings. Then continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Our final stop is at the Colossi of Memnon. We return to our cruise boat on the east bank, where we enjoy lunch on board. There is time to relax on the sundeck before we set sail for Edfu. We pass through Esna lock and continue our journey upstream. (BLD)
Day 5: Edfu - Kom Ombo
Morning finds us moored near Edfu, a very well-preserved temple dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed God. Returning to our cruise boat and enjoying views of the desert and the everyday life that is almost as timeless as the Nile itself. Arriving at Kom Ombo we visit the Temple of Sobek (the crocodile-headed god) its most spectacular aspect is undoubtedly from the river itself, but a short walk around the temple also provides an interesting insight into the Greco-Roman period. Day 6: Aswan
We arrive in Aswan to make a visit to the beautiful Temple of Isis that was rescued from the rising waters of the Nile and relocated on Philae which is an absolute gem and one of the highlights of Upper Egypt. The rest of our day is free to wander through the Nubian bazaar and enjoy a walk along the 'Corniche', which is the promenade that runs alongside the river. (BLD)
Day 7: Aswan - Overnight Train
After breakfast we disembark from our cruise boat there is an opportunity to visit the famed temples of Abu Simbel. The rest of the day is free for us to make our own discoveries. Later we can enjoy a short tour through the Nubian Museum (Optional). In the late afternoon transferred to the station, where we board the sleeper train for our journey back to Cairo. (BD)
Day 8: Cairo
We arrive in Cairo and transferred to our hotel, Later you will be escorted to a short visit to Old Cairo starts by the oldest part of Cairo to St.Sergious Church, where the Holy Family was hidden while they were in Egypt. Move on to the Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra. Continue to visit the Citadel of Selah El-Din, which contains many structures. Afterwards we visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Overnight hotel. (B)
Day 9: Cairo - Alexandria
This morning we drive north from Cairo, following the desert road to Alexandria.  Approx 3 hrs driving a full day guided tour to visit the Catacombs, Pompey's Pillar, and Roman Theatre. Overnight hotel. (B)
Day 10: El Alamein
After breakfast we drive west along the coastal road before turning south towards El Alamein. Approx 3 hrs driving. On arrival we visit the small military museum housing a variety of tanks, armored vehicles and other wartime memorabilia. We also visit the nearby Allied Cemetery. Eating facilities are limited, so at a suitable point we open the lunch boxes supplied by our hotel and in the afternoon we make our way back to Alexandria. Overnight hotel. (B)
Day 11: Alexandria - Cairo
Today we enjoy our journey back to Cairo, tour ends upon arrival to the airport. (B)
